Story

Dante Hicks, a supermarket salesman, is forced to work an extra day instead of a sick shift. After some time, a buyer comes into the supermarket, who begins to convince other customers who want to buy cigarettes that smoking is extremely harmful, and cigarette sellers profit from someone else's health, persuading them to buy chewing gum instead. In the midst of the dispute, Veronica, Dante’s girlfriend, quickly finds out that this buyer was an advertising agent for a chewing gum company and kicks him out of the store.

After that, there is a conversation between Dante and Veronica, during which it turns out that Veronica had oral sex with 36 different men besides him, which makes Dante furious. Soon after, a friend of Dante Randall Graves arrives who works in a nearby video rental. He reports that Dante's former girlfriend Kathleen Bree is getting married to an Asian designer. This makes Dante even more upset.

After that, Dante, Randall and a few other friends go to play hockey on the roof of the supermarket, closing the store. 12 minutes after the start of the game, the ball flies off the roof. Immediately after this, Dante accidentally finds out that one of his ex-girlfriends has died, and Randall persuades him to go to the memorial ceremony. From there, almost immediately, they are kicked out with a scandal, after Randall accidentally overturns the coffin with the body. Dante and Randall return to the store.

Then Randall leaves for a short while, and Dante is left alone in the store. A fitness trainer comes in and begins to discuss Dante's poor fitness with another customer. It soon turns out that they all studied together, and the coach and the customer switch to discussing Kathleen's betrayals, which Dante knew nothing about. After them comes an official who writes Dante a fine for selling cigarettes to a four-year-old girl, although in fact it was made by Randall.

When Randall returns, he explains to Dante that he takes his customers too seriously. To show how to behave, he insults several buyers who leave the supermarket in indignation. After Randall leaves, Kathleen comes in to explain that a mistake actually happened and that she is not getting married. Dante invites her to start dating again, invites her to a date and goes home to change clothes. When he returns, it turns out that at that time Kathleen had sex with the dead body of an old man in the toilet of the supermarket, confusing him with Dante in the dark. The old man went to the toilet shortly before and died during masturbation, retaining an erection. Kathleen is taken to the hospital in shock. Immediately after this, Dante has a quarrel with Veronica, whom Randall managed to tell about Kathleen. Dante fights with Randall. Then they put up and talk about their worthless existence. After thinking about possible changes, they tidy up the store, and Randall leaves home, and Dante decides to take a day off and visit Kathleen in the hospital.
