Story
The film is based on the picture of the same name from the 1950s and tells the story of two orphan boys who independently travel from the Old World to Canada to connect with their father's family. There, they encounter their strict, disciplined grandfather, who is hostile to some of his Dutch neighbors. He considers them responsible for the death of his son during the Boer War. As a result of such a relationship, the aunt of the boys and her admirer, the Dutch doctor, cannot get any closer. Two boys change the situation when they find a baby on the shore ...
