Story
The film tells about boys from a small Irish village who are at war with peers from a neighboring village. During the clashes, they cut off buttons from opponents, since this is the most severely punished by the parents of both villages. In the center of the picture is a boy, the son of poor parents, who is punished with excessive severity. He escapes from home to avoid cruel punishment, but in the end he is still sent to a shelter for difficult teenagers.
