Story
In the film, all the actors play themselves. Michel Blanc is busy composing a script for a new film in which he wants to star Carol Bouquet. The police are beginning to accuse Michel of actions that he does not remember. He is accused of harassment (the victims are young actresses Matilda May and Charlotte Gainsbourg) and the rape of Josiane Balasco. Michel believes that he has lost his mind, and he has a second “dark” person inside him who does all these things that the director does not remember. Then it turns out that Michel has a double, Patrick Olivier, who, using the similarity with Blanc, satisfies his basest needs. Michel Blanc, like other famous actor (Philip Noire), is forced out of the world of big cinema on his stage. They are forced to go to work in extras and on the sidelines.

Reviews
In the book “3500. The book of film reviews ”Russian film critic Sergey Kudryavtsev highly appreciated the work of Michel Blanc :
Being, of course, the most talented actor with a rarely accurate tragicomic role (remember at least his great role in the "Evening" Blie , incidentally, marked the prize in the same Cannes), Blanc in "Great Fatigue" (in our box office - "Insidiousness of glory ") as if gliding over the surface, playing up funny situations in the tradition of" cinema performance "and just film shows, a gala concert, an entertainment spectacle. That is why the film went very well in France, yielding (among local works) only to the eccentric comedy "The Indian in the City" and the militant "Leon" .
