Fast and dead

John Herod, a gangster, a tyrant and a great shooter, once in his youth by force seized the mayor’s post in the small town of Atonement. Now the “Atonement” is a beggarly city where Herod and his bandits are atrocious, ruthlessly robbing citizens. Herod invites all shooters of the Wild West to try their luck in the duel tournament he organized for a prize of $ 123,000 .

The competition is played on the one-on-one Olympic system - at the beginning of the tournament, the winner is the survivor who has survived after shots on his feet, starting from the middle of the tournament. Among the 16 participants: the illegitimate son of Herod “Baby”, the mysterious female shooter “Lady” Ellen, the serial killer “Ace” Hanlon, the Indian Carpet Horse, killer Klay Cantrell, the Scar killer who escaped from prison, bandits Kelly and Firgil Sparks, pedophile Eugene Dred, Sweden champion Mr. Gatson and others. In addition, Herod forces him to participate in the tournament, the priest Cort, with whom he has long-standing accounts, and also enters into a bloody competition.

By the end of the tournament, almost all the participants were killed, only Cort and Herod remain. Herod is ready for a duel, but at the last moment she breaks down. Ellen, who allegedly died in a duel (her death was simulated by a local doctor, a blind boy and Cort), detonates the mayor’s institutions with dynamite and destroys Herod’s gang. Ellen had long dreamed of taking revenge on Herod - many years ago, when she was a girl, he made her shoot the noose in order to free her father from hanging, but Ellen missed and hit him in the head. There is a final duel between Ellen and Herod.

Ellen achieves his goal: she kills Herod, the city is freed from the tyrant and his gang. The winner was not revealed, no one got a cash prize. Ellen rides away from the city on her horse, leaving Corte the star of Federal Marshal, who once belonged to her father.
