Murder on Morgue Street (film, 1932)

XIX century , Paris . Crazy doctor Miracle, who lives on Morgue Street, abducts young women and conducts inhuman experiments on them. His goal is to cross a person with a gorilla. After the introduction of primate blood into the circulatory system of women, the latter die and Miracle throws their corpses into the Seine.

At the fair, the doctor shows the talking orangutan Eric. Among the audience - a young girl Camilla Lespane and her fiancé, medical student Pierre Dupin, who suspects Miracle of the killings. Camilla becomes Eric's desire. Miracle decides to take advantage of this and orders the orangutan to abduct the girl. At night, the monkey sneaks into Camilla’s bedroom and steals it. Dupin, having guessed that Camille had been abducted by Miracle, turns to the prefect of the police and asks to send the gendarmes to search for her. In the laboratory of Miracle, Eric, seeing that Camille is in danger from his master, is freed and kills the doctor. Then, capturing Camille, she runs with her along the rooftops of Paris. A beast rushes after the beast and its prey, led by the prefect and Dupin. A student climbs Eric on the roof and shoots a monkey.
