Rimma Timofeevna Fedorova (b. 1934 , Alma-Ata ) - an astronomer , head of the Nikolaev department of the GAO Academy of Sciences of the USSR ( 1978 - 1986 ).

Biography
Rimma Fedorova was born in the family of an agronomist.
In 1956 she graduated from Kiev State University with a degree in Astronomy and was sent to work at the Nikolaev Observatory . Here, over the years, she took part in determining the positions of stars on the Repsold meridian circle, the time service, observations of artificial Earth satellites, and determining direct ascents of the Sun and large planets using passenger instruments.
In May 1978 , after the death of Y. E. Gordon , she was appointed Head of the Nikolaev Department of the GAO AS USSR .
In 1986, Rimma Timofeevna Fedorova, of her own free will, was relieved of her post as Head of the Nikolaev Department of the GAO AS USSR .
