Story
Zed ( Eric Stolz ), professional"Bear cub" , comes to Paris to help childhood friend Eric ( Jean-South Anglad ) rob a bank.
In a taxi, on the way to the hotel, the driver orders a prostitute for him. Shortly after his arrival, a “call girl” Zoe ( Julie Delpy ) comes to his room and tells something about herself, in particular, that she studies art and that she has a “very boring” day job. After sex, they chat amicably with each other, and then fall asleep. However, their dreams are soon interrupted by the invading Eric, who rudely kicks Zoe out of the room so that he and Zed can prepare for the business ahead.
Eric brings Zed to his apartment, where he introduces him to other participants in the upcoming robbery - Francois, Jean, Ricardo, Claude and the Englishman Oliver. Then Eric devotes his friend to the details of the robbery. According to the plan, during the national holiday, Bastille Day , all the institutions and institutions will be closed, except for the bank that they are going to rob. Looking at the blueprints, Zed says that it takes at least three hours to crack a safe. To which Eric says - “This is impossible! We must come in, take what we want and go out! ” After reviewing the documents again, Zed discovers that the main storage is connected to another small window. Zed claims that he will be able to get into the second in less than half an hour. Then it remains to get into the window and open the main storage, without spending even a minute on it. Eric is extremely pleased with this turn of events. Zed asks when the Bastille Day is and, surprisingly, finds out tomorrow. He does not like this idea, he says that he wants to see this bank at the beginning. However, Eric says that he does not need to know anything, because his task is only to crack the safe, and he and his friends will do the rest. Then Eric and his friends use heroin and other drugs instead of relaxing before work. Weak Zed could not refuse and also tried one of the drugs, which did not "release" him throughout the evening. And the rest of the evening, Zed, Eric and their partners spend the night in a jazz club, among the darkest scum of Parisian society, enjoying a bad reputation, however, Eric claims that this is Real Paris . During the revelry and drug intake, Eric confesses to Zed that he has AIDS . He also tells Zed that he could call any other bear cub, but since he loves and values Zed, only Eric assigns everything to him. Falling asleep on a toilet seat in a jazz club, Zed sees, although perhaps these are hallucinations, as Eric has sex with Francois.
The next day, Eric wakes Zed and they go to the bank. Eric tells Zed that everything will go smoothly and without problems. However, he immediately says in his native language that Zed does not understand, "kill everyone who will bother you." All participants in the robbery wear carnival masks so as not to be identified, and burst into the room. At the entrance, Ricardo kills a security guard (an episodic role of the famous porn actor Ron Jeremy ), Zed, Eric and Oliver take the manager hostage and go down to the vault, the rest remain hostages, among whom is Zoe. In the vault, bandits encounter an elderly employee of the bank, a security guard and a client. Eric makes the manager open the safe, as if forgetting that Zed is just for this with them, but gets a refusal. Then he puts the gun into the woman’s mouth, but this does not make the manager change his mind. Zed says he will open the safe, but Eric tells him to shut up. After another manager’s refusal, Eric kills the woman, and then puts the gun to the client’s head. The manager again refuses to open the safe. Driven to the limit, Eric kills the manager, asks Oliver to take the client upstairs, and Zedu tells him to open the safe. Zed says meaningless violence will only worsen the situation. To which Eric replies that he tried to save time opening the safe and goes to the toilet, where he takes a dose of heroin. Zed begins to crack the safe. At the top, Ricardo tells a joke to his friends. Enthusiastic about the story, they do not notice how one of the guards takes out a hidden pistol. A guard kills Ricardo, but Jean shoots him with a machine gun. From "crazy bullets" also several hostages perish. Eric runs into the noise. Angry over the death of Ricardo, he shoots one of the hostages. Suddenly the phone rings, it's the police. Eric sends the hell out of the cop and threatens to kill all the hostages. Before going down to the basement, he notices Zoe and smiles warmly at her. Going down to the basement, he helps Zed open the doors. But as soon as they enter a small vault, bullets are streaming down on them immediately. It turns out that a guard is sitting inside the main storage. After small negotiations, Eric throws a dynamite checker through the window. Then they crawl into the main storage, which is almost destroyed by the explosion. Eric sits down in front of a cart with gold bars and looks at them spellbound. Zed begins to break open the door from the inside, and Eric goes upstairs to demonstrate the ingot to friends. Rising, he again kills one of the hostages and again descends into the basement, which is already slightly filled with gas. Eric realizes that the police are trying to smoke them and goes upstairs. He takes Zoe, but a young guy stands up for her. Eric takes the guy, takes him outside and kills him. Meanwhile, Zed, breaking the door, hears a moan and finds a still-alive guard. His face is disfigured, there is no one hand. The guard speaks in his native language that he is scared and asks Zed to take his hand. Zed takes his words differently and reluctantly kills the guard. Then he opens the door and he and Oliver carry a cart with gold upstairs. Meanwhile, Eric, angered by the refusal of the police, again kills several hostages. Claude offers to surrender, but Eric takes Zoe again and leads her to the exit to kill. Zoe manages to break free and take the machine from Eric. She shoots him in the foot and runs away. At the same instant, the police begin the assault on the building, and Zoe collides with Zed and Oliver, leaving the elevator. Surprised by his appearance, she freezes for a moment. Oliver tries to kill her, but Zed enters into a fight with him. Zoe runs off to the basement. Eric says that he is disappointed with Zed’s behavior, because you shouldn’t become a whore between male friendships. He cuts Zed's cheek with a knife and throws him into the stairwell. Police engage in a shootout with Claude, Jean and Francois. All three die. Oliver tries to escape using the elevator, but Eric closes the door in front of his nose and drives down. In the basement, Zoe meets the bloodied Zed and leads him to a safe place, but they run into Eric. Between Zed and Eric, a fight begins, during which Oliver, who is bleeding, appears, but he immediately falls to the floor. Eric takes the shotgun from dead Oliver and points at Zed. Special forces rush into the room and demands Eric to drop his weapon. Eric says goodbye to Zed and pulls the trigger, but the shotgun runs out of ammunition. In the same second, special forces shoot Eric. Zeda takes the wounded Zed out of the bank, who tells the police that this is one of the bank's customers. They drive away in her car and Zoe promises Zed that when he recovers, she will show him the real Paris.

Filming
The plot and some elements of the story “Kill Zoe” are clearly borrowed from the film “ True Love, ” the script of which was the Tarantino-Avery tandem. For example, a dialogue between the main characters, when they are lying in bed, and the girl is offended by the fact that he called her a prostitute, but she is a call girl. Also, after the massacre in the finals, Zoe drags the wounded Zeda on her.
Although the action takes place in Paris , almost everything that happens is filmed in the USA .
