Medal "10 years of Astana"

1. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens, who have made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its capital, are awarded with the 10th Zhit Astana Jubilee Medal (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal).
2. Presentations for the jubilee medal are made to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the chairmen of the chambers of the Parliament, the Government, the Constitutional Council, the Supreme Court, ministries, other central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of regions, cities of Astana and Almaty , public associations.
3. The anniversary medal is awarded by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also on behalf of and on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan it can be awarded:
   1. State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
   2. chairmen of the chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
   3. members of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
   4. Akims of regions, cities of Astana and Almaty;
   5. other officials.
4. Presentation of the jubilee medal is carried out in a festive atmosphere, publicly and awarded to the awarded person. Before delivery, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on awarding is announced.
5. Each awarded simultaneously with the presentation of the jubilee medal is issued a certificate.
6. A protocol of the established form is drawn up on the delivery of the anniversary medal. It is sealed with the signature of the person who awarded the medal and the seal of the authority that performed the presentation, and is sent to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7. The jubilee medal "10 zhyt Astana" is worn on the left side of the chest. In the presence of state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is located after them.
8. A record of the awards made, as well as reports on the delivery of anniversary medals, are kept by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The anniversary medal is made of brass , has the shape of a regular polyhedron with a diameter of 40 mm.

On the obverse of the coin at the corners of the regular octahedron there are elements of a national ornament; between the corners of the octahedron, five diverging strokes are made, symbolizing the rays of the sun. A circle is shown in the center of the octahedron, inside the circle in the upper left corner is the inscription “10 ZHYL ASTANA”, made in three lines, in the center is the image of the Residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ Akorda ” and the monument “ Astana - Baiterek ”. The obverse surface is shiny.

On the reverse of the medal is an image of a circle, in the center of the circle there is an inscription “ҚАЗАҚДСАН РУСС kindlicles 2008", made in three lines. At the bottom of the inscription is an element of national ornament. The reverse surface is frosted.

The medal is connected with an eye and a ring to a hexagonal block with a height of 50 mm and a width of 32 mm, covered with a moire ribbon with vertical stripes: red 7 mm wide, yellow 3 mm wide, blue 22 mm wide. A pin with a visor lock is located on the back of the shoe, with which a medal is attached to clothing.

The medal was made at the Kazakhstan Mint in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk .

The first to receive a jubilee medal were World War II veterans.

During the celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the capital of Kazakhstan, the medal was awarded to the heads of state who accepted the invitation and visited Astana. Among them:
