Mikhail Ivanovich Gribushin ( 1832 - 1889 ) - Russian businessman, philanthropist and public figure, merchant of the 1st guild, honorary citizen of Kungur , city head of Kungur in 1872-1876.

Biography
Mikhail Ivanovich Gribushin was born on September 6 (18), 1832 in the family of an artisan. At the age of 12, he joined the firm of merchant Alexei Semenovich Gubkin . In 1856, he founded his own tea and sugar trading enterprise. In Kungur he owned warehouses, barns and weighing, where he sorted and packed tea. [1] [2] Gribushin's trading offices were opened in China , India , Ceylon , in the Russian cities of Perm , Ufa , Yekaterinburg , Vyatka , in the village of Topornino , at the Nizhny Novgorod , Irbit, Menzelinsk, Birsk, Krasnoufimsk and Osinsk fairs. [3]
Actively engaged in charitable activities. He made significant donations for the construction of the bell tower and the rebuilding of the Assumption Church, the construction of the Small Gostiny Dvor, the building of the Public Zyryanovsky poorhouse. [1] In 1886, Gribushin, together with Kirill Khlebnikov , founded the Mikhailo-Kirillov Syropitiate House, an institution for the education of poor orphans (the name of the house was derived from the names of the founders). Mikhail Ivanovich held a number of public posts in Kungur: he was elected an honorary justice of the peace, city and provincial vowel, elder of the Assumption church, trustee of the Public poorhouse. In 1872-1876, he served as the mayor of Kungur. For services to the city, Gribushin was awarded three gold medals on the Stanislavsky, St. Andrew and Vladimir ribbons, and in 1885 he was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of the city of Kungur." Mikhail Ivanovich Gribushin died on November 9 (21), 1889, and was buried in Kungur, in the family crypt under the altar of the home church of the Syropitiate House. [1] Antonina Ivanovna’s wife and sons Innokenty, Sergei, Mikhail and Nikolay inherited and continued his work. The widow established and headed the trading house “M. I. Gribushina heirs. Later, the management of the company was transferred to his son - Sergei Mikhailovich Gribushin . [2]
In 2002, the journalist Kalpidi Varvara Vladislavovna (TV company “Auto TV”) shot the documentary “Gribushina Heirs”. [one]
