Economy (publishing)

The publishing house was created in December 1921 as the editorial and publishing department of the State General Planning Commission. Later it was transformed into one of the leading Soviet publishers. The modern name - since 1963 .

Currently, the publisher publishes a variety of educational and scientific literature in various areas of economics, management, philosophy.

In the field of economics, books are published in cooperation with academic institutions in several series:

• " From the history of economic thought "
• “Economic Heritage”,
• “Russian academicians about economics”,
• "Today and tomorrow of the Russian economy",
• "Systemic problems of Russia" (dedicated to the 275th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences ),
• "Economists - Nobel Prize Winners."

In 1999 - 2001 The 95-volume “Economic Encyclopedia of the Regions of Russia” was published (89 volumes per Federation Subject, 5 volumes per country as a whole and a reference volume).
