Place Saint-Michel ( French place Saint-Michel ) - a square in Paris . Located in the Latin Quarter , between the 5th and 6th arrondissements of Paris . It was laid in 1855, when laying the boulevard of the same name.

It is famous for the fountain of St. Michael (Saint-Michel), built by French architect Gabriel Daviou in 1855 . Initially, they intended to dedicate the fountain to Napoleon Bonaparte , but, in the end, the current name won. The structure is decorated with two dragons spewing streams of water into the bowl of the fountain.
In the immediate vicinity of the square there are a number of attractions, including monuments of the island of Cité , including the Palace of Justice . With the island of Cite, the square is connected by the Saint-Michel bridge .
