Black fox (film)

America , 1861 . The two named brothers, Alan Johnson ( Christopher Reeve ) and Britt Johnson ( Tony Todd ), move from Carolina to Texas in search of a better life. Alan is a former plantation owner, Britt is his childhood friend, a black cowboy whom Alan freed from slavery. Johnson brothers lead the usual life of immigrants: grazing cattle to feed their families. When the Civil War begins, a small detachment stationed in the village and fighting off the raids of the Indians is transferred to the places of military operations, the village remains without protection.

Little Bison (Leon Goodstriker), one of the Indian leaders, has a “prophetic dream” that it is time to expel the “pale-faced” ancestors from the land; two warring tribes, Comanches and Kiowas , unite and, under the leadership of Little Bison, make a devastating raid on the village, at the moment when the men left for help. The Indians will take with them all women and children, including the Johnson brothers' families.

Then Britt Johnson is born a bold plan - to go on negotiations with the Indian leaders and offer them a deal, women and children in exchange for horses. Britt constantly had to endure ridicule from his neighbors, out of his skin color, but now it is he who is the last hope of the settlers, since the Indians have more confidence in blacks than in “pale-faced” ones, and even consider them endowed with some supernatural powers. And Britt decides to take a chance for his family and his neighbors.

Lone Wolf ( Denis Lacroix ), leader of the Kiowa tribe, agrees to a deal and gives Britt the nickname "Black Fox" for courage and honesty. But is this enough to return the captives? After all, now not only the lives of women and children are at stake, but also the life of Britt himself ...
