Story
Baseball playerBilly Wyatt is informed that his girlfriend and first love Katie Chandler , with whom he had not communicated for many years, but whose warm feelings were still preserved in his soul, committed suicide and bequeathed to him to dispose of her ashes at his own discretion.
On the way home, Billy remembers the paintings of days past: the first meeting with Katie, their love and the conversations they had during the summer days on the New Jersey coast. He recalls his friend Alan Appleby, with whom together they came up with all kinds of tricks and evil jokes, in particular, the case when each of them slept with the girlfriend of the other.
In the end, Billy decides to dispel Katie's ashes over the place where their happiness was most complete - over the coast of New Jersey.
