Established December 2, 2004 . It was re-formed on December 20, 2018 by joining the territory and settlements of the abolished Sitkovsky rural settlement [1] .

- The Velizh -Selezni motor road runs through the settlement.

Archeology and Genetics
The mitochondrial haplogroup H and the Y-chromosome haplogroup R1a1 were found in the inhabitant of the site of Sertei VIII (5120 ± 120 years ago). Two inhabitants of the pile building No. 1 from the site of Sertei II (ижyzhitsa archaeological culture of the Late Neolithic , cer. III millennium BC. E.) found mitochondrial haplogroup H2 and Y-chromosome haplogroups R1a1 and N1c [10] .
