Novgorod Drama Theater named after F. M. Dostoevsky

Since 1825, the first stationary theater was opened. Since 1853, the theater in Novgorod became permanent. In 1918, the First Public Theater of the October Revolution was organized, and in 1934 the Novgorod Theater was reorganized into the Leningrad Regional Small Drama Theater . September 1, 1944 the theater was transformed into the Novgorod Regional Theater .

In 1993, the theater became a laureate in the International Festival of Historical Pieces of the Voice of History in Vologda, with the performance of Martha Posadnitsa V. In 2005, the theater became a laureate of the Victory Star festival (Ryazan). In 2007 she became a laureate of the Arbat Meetings Festival (Moscow), showing a performance based on a play by E. Since January 2018, as a result of the reorganization, the legal status of the theater has changed. He became a member of the Novgorod Regional Autonomous Institution of Culture and Art NOVGOROD REGIONAL THEATER AND CONCERT AGENCY . The general director of the agency is Vakhrushev Alexander Alekseevich .

The theater is the organizer of the International Theater Festival Theater Veche .
