During the first season, Clark gets a job at the Daily Planet and meets Lois Lane. They are colleagues. Lex Luthor and his assistant Nigel explore Superman and try to defeat him. Clark learns about his krypton heritage and about kryptonite. Lois is passionate about Clark Kent and Lex Luther, and accepts Lex's offer to marry him. During the wedding, everyone learns that Lex is a criminal, and he dies by the end of the season. But he returns in the second season to one series and several series in the third season.
In Russia, the series was broadcast on the NTV channel from 2000 to 2001, then on the cable channel Sony Sci-Fi .

Dean Kane was the first who came to try on the role of Superman, and was the first approved actor from the main cast, so most of the actors for other main roles were approved by the results of pairings with Kane auditions. The pairing audition for the role of Lois Lane was that the pretender ran into the room, kissed Kane on the lips, and then gave an improvisation, the purpose of which was that Lois was trying to get Superman to bed. Dean Kane had to kiss about 16 girls, the last of which was finally approved by Teri Hatcher, although Hatcher herself almost lost her role during the previous qualifying round, as she wore hair below the shoulder blades at that time, while Deborah Joy LeVine represented Lois with a modern fashionable bob haircut. Upon learning that this was the only thing, Hatcher shortened her hair the same day and again auditioned.
