Time Trax , also known as Time Thresholds and Through Time, is a joint American - Australian science fiction television series first shown on American television in 1993. Story

A policeman from 2193, Darien Lambert ( Dale Midkiff ), sets off in 1993 to catch and bring back to the XXII century more than a hundred escaped criminals hiding in the XX century, where they were transferred using the Trax time machine, invented by Dr. Mordechai Sambi (Peter Donat) scientists from the XXII century. Lambert is assisted in capturing the fugitives by his Micro-Pellet Projection Tube weapon (a three-button mini energy pistol disguised as a car alarm) and the SELMA computer ( Russian “Selma” , an abbreviation from “Specified Encapsulated Limitless Memory Archive” - Russian specific encapsulated unlimited archive of memory , voiced by Elizabeth Alexander ) disguised as a credit card.

According to the series, a game was created with the same name for the SNES console.

A search for some missing fugitives leads Lambert to a small village in the middle of the Docker Plain.

Salma receives a signal from an alien ship in distress. Unfortunately, the alien inadvertently wounded a local hunter, leaving him in a coma, and the local population gathers a crowd to hunt him. In the end, Darien finds out that the local dumb waitress is the alien's wife, reuniting the couple and pacifying the locals, claiming he works for SETI . Realizing that the Procardians will not return to Earth for the next half century, he sends them to the future, where delegates from Procardia are expected to arrive.

A scientist from the XXII century - Dr. Carter Buck - invented an anti-gravity belt that gives a person the opportunity to fly like a bird. With his acquaintance, he is going to show it in public, but during one of his flights he is noticed by Darien and finds him a teacher at a local university. Buck shows Darien a belt, explaining that he is absolutely safe to fly, and Darien flies in it for a while. Subsequently, Lambert returns to the house of Buck, finding with the help of Salma that he forgot his jacket, and finds the house empty. Thanks to the transmitter built into the belt by the doctor, Lambert pursues the abductors of Buck and his inventions all the way to Mexico and, having freed the doctor from captivity and having lost the belt as a result of the explosion, he escapes from there together with Buck, defeating the leader of the gang of kidnappers and notifying the Mexican authorities about what happened.

Darien decides to infiltrate the camp and finds himself (despite the fact that he managed to hide that he is a policeman from the future) with prisoners, having survived the operation to introduce a circular plate. After torture and beatings by the criminal administration, he, having miraculously survived, finds the person he was looking for (later it turns out that he was framed in the future and he is not a criminal). With the help of Selma, deactivating his plate, he raises a rebellion with him in the colony. Later it turns out that in the mine where platinum is mined, its owners, fleeing the state department check and wanting to hide all the “traces”, lay a bomb ready to explode ... At the last minute, Darien, his acquaintance and prisoners managed to escape, and the leader of the gang and his accomplices die in a blast.

Lambert discovers that his favorite comedian from the future is in the present. In addition, he wins a large amount in the lottery.
