Story
Law student Darby Shaw examines the facts of the murder of two members of the US Supreme Court in the archives and draws up her version of who might be involved in this crime - the so-called “Pelican Folder”. The materials presented in this dossier of a student, her professor and lover, delighted with the analytical talent of her student, pass on to her friend, an FBI consultant. After that, the professor’s car was blown up, only by pure chance Darby was not in his car. A real hunt begins for her. Complex backstage mechanisms are being driven to the White House corridors to destroy a folder of revealing materials and people who know too much.
In search of a way out, Darby contacts the journalist of the influential newspaper Gray Grantham and tells him the contents of his dossier. It turns out that the case has a deep background related to oil and corruption. The threads of this story stretch to the White House.
