Military town (Lipetsk)

War town - a residential area (quarter-type street) in the Soviet district of Lipetsk . Located between Kosmonavtov Street (near Aviators Square ) and Kamenny Log in the east direction from the 5th microdistrict .

It is populated by most of the military personnel of the Lipetsk aviation garrison and members of their families. It is surrounded by a wall on three sides. At the stop of the 7th microdistrict on Tereshkova Street, there is a checkpoint through which you can get to the military town by road.

Some of the houses in the town are addressed along the streets of Cosmonauts , Tereshkova , Ignatiev , part - directly along the Military Town.

The development of the town is very diverse: multi-story buildings are adjacent to houses of the barracks type.

In the town is the Garrison House of Officers of the Lipetsk Aviation Center .

In recent years, new high-rise buildings have been actively built on the site of demolished 1- and 2-story buildings. So, in 2008, a residential building was handed over at the Aviator Square stop, which was built on the site of the demolished house No. 13 V / town. On the site of an old overgrown park, houses 39 and 41 were built on Ignatiev Street , and a square was also laid out.
