Three-ton tank Ford ( eng. Ford Three-ton Tank ), adopted under the designation Three-ton special tractor, model 1918 ( English Three-ton Special Tractor M1918 ) - a light tank ( wedge ) of the USA during the First World War . Created by Ford in 1918 with the maximum use of components of commercial vehicles in the design. It was adopted into the role of a light artillery tractor (wedge heel), since tests showed its unsuitability for the role of a tank. 15 pre-production M1918s were released in 1918, it was planned to produce 15,000 of these machines from 1919 , however, with the end of World War I, the order for the production of M1918 was canceled.
