The first volume describes the journey, the description is illustrated by engravings , the second combines technical applications (dictionaries, meteorological data, etc.)
Two more collections were attached to it:
- in the first, scientific documents were collected (route maps, sketches of the facades of historical buildings);
- the second was published under the name “Picturesque Album”, was completely made by Louis Delaporte and illustrated with his watercolors .
