Story
One woman lived in the world and had no children.
She decided to go ...to the witch.
She was kind and gave the woman a barley seed, from which a beautiful flower grew in a pot. When the bud opened, there was a little, little girl no more than an inch tall . Therefore, it was called Thumbelina.
Thumbelina was very friendly and sweet. She lived on the dressing table of her adoptive mother and slept in a walnut-bed. Once she was noticed by the Swamp Toad and decided that Thumbelina could become a wonderful couple for her son. At night, Toad stole a sleeping Thumbelina and brought her to her son. They placed Thumbelina on a sheet of water lily .
But the girl did not want to marry the son of Toad. She wept bitterly and Pisces came to the aid of the girl. They called the Hermit Crab, he ate a leaf stalk with his claw, Moths picked up Thumbelina's belt and the leaf swam across the water. Toads rushed in pursuit. The belt suddenly broke and the Toads almost caught up with the girl, but at that moment the May bug caught her on the fly. He moved her to a tree, where he had a dwelling, and invited Thumbelina to become his wife. Thumbelina liked the offers of the May Beetle, but the problem was that she herself did not like the friends of the Beetle, and he immediately refused it.
Poor Thumbelina was left to live in the forest alone. So she lived all summer, and in the deep autumn, a freezing Thumbelina was discovered by the Field Mouse, which sheltered her in her hole. The mouse decided to arrange the girl’s happiness by marrying her rich neighbor Mole. Mole was very wealthy and mean. He liked that Thumbelina ate very little, and he agreed to marry. The girl did not want to marry Krot and did not want to live in a dungeon. She asked to go upstairs to say goodbye to the sun, and there she unexpectedly met the Swallow, whom she once dying saved and cured.
The swallow took Thumbelina to the warm edges. There the girl was met by elves, and the Prince of elves offered her a hand and a heart.
