Biography
Tolomush Okeev was born on September 11, 1935 in the village of Bokonbaevo (now - in the Ton district , Issyk-Kul region , Kyrgyzstan ).
In 1958 he graduated from the Department of Sound Engineers of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Leningrad Institute of Cinema Engineers (LIKI) and worked as the sound operator of the Kirghizfilm film studio.
In 1966 he graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors in Moscow .
Member of the CPSU since 1975 [1] .
Since 1965, he has been the director of feature and non-fiction films at the Kirghizfilm film studio. Author and co-author of scripts.
Created the first private film studio in Kyrgyzstan "Kelechek" [2] .
The author of the book “Winged Art” (1985, “Kyrgyzstan”).
He died on December 18, 2001 (according to other sources - December 19, 2001 [3] ) in Ankara ( Turkey ). He was buried in Bishkek at Ala-Archa cemetery .
