Story
Max is a Parisian detective, arrogant, rich and angry with gangs of robbers whom he cannot catch. To restore his reputation, Max decides to provoke a gang of petty thieves (led by his old acquaintance) to rob a bank. The captain reluctantly supplies Max with information, and he begins to spend evenings with Lily, a prostitute and girlfriend of the leader of the gang. Max pretends to be a wealthy banker, burning money, and alludes to a payment that goes through his bank. The plan works: thieves are going to hit the big jackpot, and the police are sitting ready. Where could there be a mistake in Max's plan?
