Theater on Spasskaya

The Theater on Spasskaya (formerly the N. Ostrovsky Theater for Young Spectators ) is a theater in the city of Kirov , located on the street of the same name in a building built for the merchant Arshaulov in 1813-1816.

Content

History

In 1935, a group of creatively minded young people gathered in the Apollo Summer Garden. Rehearsals began, and on June 22, 1936, the premiere of the play “Serge Streltsov” based on the play by Mikhail Sholokhov [1] took place . This event was the beginning of the work of a professional children's theater in Kirov.

In 1998, the theater took part in the festival " Real Theater " in Yekaterinburg with the performance "Don Quixote" based on the play by Mikhail Bulgakov . The theater once became the nominee for the Golden Mask National Theater Award and took part in the Golden Mask festival, including its special programs.

The theater building was shot in the video of the group “ Torba-on-cooler ” for the song “Heart” (2010).

At different times, the artistic management of the theater was carried out by Alexey Borodin, Alexander Klokov , Boris Pavlovich.
