Geography
Radekhovsky district is located in the northern part of Lviv region, bordered by Kamenka-Bugsky, Sokalsky, Brodovsky, Busky districts and Gorokhovsky district of Volyn region. The area in the current borders was formed in 1965. The territory of the district is 114.4 km², the population is 52.0 thousand people.
The territory of the region is crossed by the highway routes Lviv - Lutsk , Brody - Chervonograd , Radekhov - Berestechko , Uzlovoye — Busk , Sokal — Stoyanov; railway tracks Lviv — Kovel , Lviv — St. Petersburg .
The terrain is flat. The largest rivers are the Western Bug with tributaries Belostok and Kholoevka and Styr with tributaries Berezovka, Rodoslavka, Sudilovka.
Humid-carbonate soils. In the valleys of the tributaries of the Western Bug and Styry there are large peat massifs. Coal deposits are located in the western part of the region. Most of the territory, almost 25 percent, is occupied by forests, mainly pine, oak. In the outskirts of the village Nestanichi dwarf oaks grow.

Population
According to the results of the all-Ukrainian census of 2001, 52.4 thousand people lived in the district (96.9% compared to the 1989 census), of which 0.2 thousand Russians (0.4% of the total population) [2] .
