Kompaniivskyi district ( Ukrainian Kompaniivskyi district ) is the administrative unit of the Kirovograd region of Ukraine . The administrative center is the urban-type settlement Kompaneevka .

History
Kompaneevsky district was created on March 8, 1923 on the basis of the Kompaneevsky volost of the Elisavetgrad district of the Kherson province .
During the Great Patriotic War from 1941 to 1944, the area was occupied by German troops .
In 1953, three MTS were operating in the district [2] .
In 1966-1967 a forest reclamation station was created in the district center Kompaneevka [3] , on the basis of which a leshoz was later created [4] .
In March 1995, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine included the Kompaneevsky forestry in the list of enterprises whose privatization is prohibited due to their national importance [4] .
