Biography
Ivan Alexandrovich Kiselev, born April 20 ( May 2 ) in 1905 in the village of Afanasyevo, Myachkovsky volost, Kolomna district (now the territory of the Voskresensky district of the Moscow region) in a peasant family. Russian .
In 1924, he went to study in Moscow, to the workers' school there. Ya. M. Sverdlov. He graduated from the Rabfak and 2 courses of the Agricultural Academy ( 1929 ). He worked as an inspector of the financial department of the Resurrection Executive Committee. Participated in the organization of collective and state farms . He was elected chairman of the Bronnitsky district collective farm.
In the Red Army in 1930-1932 and since 1939 . Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 . Member of the CPSU since 1942 .
In the battles of World War II from May 1942 . In 1942 he graduated from the courses of staff commanders at the Military Artillery Academy. The deputy commander of the 333rd Artillery Regiment (152nd Infantry Division, 46th Army, 3rd Ukrainian Front ) Major Kiselyov as part of the assault group on the night of October 18, 1943 overcame the Dnieper near the village of Diyivka (now within the precincts of Dnepropetrovsk) to adjust the fire of the regiment's batteries according to the firing points and infantry of the enemy. October 24, 1943, when the radio operator was killed and the radio station was out of order, he led the assault, the group, raised the fighters to the attack and expanded the bridgehead. He was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield.
