Hikmat Mizban Ibrahim al-Azzawi ( 1934 - January 27, 2012 ) - Iraqi politician. He held several posts in the country's leadership, in particular, he was the Minister of Economy and Trade.

Born in the province of Diyala [2] . He participated in anti-government activities, for which he was arrested in 1960 . After the Baathist coup of 1968, he became Deputy Minister of Commerce and Trade, then Minister of Commerce [3] .
In the mid-1970s Al-Azzawi Ball was appointed director of the Central Bank of Iraq, but in 1977 he was removed from his post for refusing to transfer a large amount of money abroad to Uncle Saddam Hussein [4] . Many years later, Saddam reinstated him and in 1995, Hikmat al-Azzawi became Minister of Finance, and since 1999 , Deputy Prime Minister.
After the fall of the regime of Saddam Hussein al-Azzawi with others, a representative of the country's top leadership disappeared. The American command included him on the list of the most wanted Iraqis. Al-Azzawi was arrested by Iraqi policemen on April 19, 2003 in Baghdad and transferred to the US military [5] .
