Story
In the South American city begins the epidemic of bubonic plague . First, rats climb from all the cracks, then they die, and soon everything goes out of control. In the city of panic. The authorities decide to isolate the city, to declare quarantine in order to prevent a massive epidemic in the country. The plague is also used as a rationale for political intrigue.
The French TV journalist ( Sandrine Bonner ), her cameraman ( Jean-Marc Barr ) and the driver ( Raoul Julia ) are trying unsuccessfully to escape from the city.
Together with two more caring people, a writer ( Robert Duval ) and a doctor ( William Hurt ), they solve complex psychological, moral and ethical issues.
