Samoku ( port. Samouco ) is a district (freesia) in Portugal , part of Setubal County. It is an integral part of the municipality of Alcocete . It is part of a large metropolitan area Greater Lisbon . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Estremadura . Included in the economic and statistical subregion is the Setubal Peninsula , which is part of the Lisbon region . The population is 2,788 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 2.83 km².
