Masan ( port. Mação ) is a district (fregezia) in Portugal , part of the Santarem district. It is part of Masan Municipality. According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Baixa . Included in the economic and statistical sub-region of Pinhal-Interior-Sul , which is part of the Central region . The population is 2,276 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 67.26 km².
