Guides ( port. Guidões ) - a region ( fregezia ) in Portugal , part of the Porto district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Tropha . It is part of a large metropolitan area of Greater Porto . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Douro-Litoral . Included in the economic and statistical subregion Ave , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 1906 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 4.16 km².
