Boin ( port. Boim ) is a region (freesia) in Portugal , part of Porto district. It is a part of the municipality of Lozada . According to the old administrative division was part of the province of Douro-Litoral . Included in the economic statistical subregion Tamega , which is included in the Northern region . The population is 2262 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 3.65 km².
