Rabasal ( port. Rabaçal ) is a district (freesia) in Portugal , part of the Coimbra district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Penela . It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Coimbra . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Litoral . Included in the economic and statistical sub-region of Pinhal-Interior-Norte , which is part of the Central region . The population is 339 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 8.79 km².
