San Silvestre ( port. São Silvestre ) is a district (fregezia) in Portugal , part of the Coimbra district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Coimbra . It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Coimbra . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Litoral . Included in the economic and statistical subregion Baishu-Mondegu , which is part of the Central region . The population is 3092 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 12.26 km².
