Seia ( port. Seia ) - a district (fregezia) in Portugal , part of the Guarda district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Seiya . It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Viseu . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Alta . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Serra da Estrela , which is part of the Central region . The population is 6,928 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 19.77 km².
