Vila Marin ( port. Vila Marim ) is a settlement and district in Portugal , part of the Vila Real district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Vila Real . According to the old administrative division was part of the province of Traz-montish and Alto Douro . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Dourou , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 1690 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 23.21 km².
