Kota ( port. Cota ) is a region (fregezia) in Portugal , part of Viseu County. It is an integral part of the municipality of Viseu . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Alta . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Dan Lafoynes , which is part of the Central region . The population is 1281 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 40.50 km².
