Tonda ( port. Tonda ) - a district (fregezia) in Portugal , part of the Viseu district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Tondela . It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Viseu . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Alta . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Dan Lafoynes , which is part of the Central region . The population is 1,115 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 8.69 km².
