Almacave ( port. Almacave ) - a district ( fregezia ) in Portugal , part of the district of Viseu . It is an integral part of the municipality of Lamego . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Traz-u-Montish and Altu-Douro . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Dourou , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 7,739 people in 2001 . It covers an area of 10.61 km².
