Vozela ( port. Vouzela ; [ vo (ou) 'zɛlɐ ]) is an urban-type village in Portugal , the center of the municipality of the same name in the district of Viseu . It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Viseu . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Alta . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Dan Lafoynes , which is part of the Central region . The population is 1.5 thousand inhabitants (village), 11.9 thousand inhabitants (municipality) in 2001 . It covers an area of 191.65 km².
