Salselas ( port. Salselas ) is a region ( freesia ) in Portugal , part of the Braganca district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Traz-u-Montish and Altu-Douro . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Altu-Traz-us-Montes , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 480 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 36.42 km².
