Grijo ( port. Grijó ) is a region (fregezia) in Portugal , part of the Braganca district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Traz-u-Montish and Altu-Douro . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Altu-Traz-us-Montes , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 471 people for 2001 . Covers an area of 8.17 km².
