Salsas ( port. Salsas ) is a region (freesia) in Portugal , part of the Braganca district. It is an integral part of the municipality of Braganca . According to the old administrative division was part of the province of Traz-montish and Alto Douro . Included in the economic statistical subregion Alto-Traz-Ush-Montes , which is included in the Northern region . The population is 424 people for 2001 . It covers an area of 25.76 km².
