Oliveira di Azemeis ( port. Oliveira de Azeméis ; [ oli'vɐiɾɐ dɨ ɐzɨ'mɐiʃ ]) is a city in Portugal , the center of the municipality of the same name in the Aveiro district. It is part of a large metropolitan area Big Aveiro . According to the old administrative division, it was part of the province of Beira Litoral . Included in the economic and statistical subregion of Entre Dourou i Vouga , which is part of the Northern region . The population is 15.3 thousand inhabitants (city), 71.2 thousand inhabitants (municipality). It covers an area of 163.41 km².
