Geography
The village is located on the Valdai Upland , on the left bank of the Mshanka River, 23 km north of Okulovka (48 km by road [2] ), to the administrative center of the rural settlement - the village of Borovenka 18 km (23 km by road [2] ) .
History
In 1964, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Moshenka was renamed Zarechnaya [3] .
Until 2005, the village was one of the settlements subordinate to the administration of the Kayovo village council.

Transport
The nearest train station is located in Borovenka. Zarechnaya is connected by road with the village of Yarusovo .
