The village is located on the Valdai Upland , 36 km northwest of Okulovka (40 km by road), to the administrative center of the rural settlement - the village of Borovenka 16 km (23 km by road).
2 km west of Ramenya are the villages of Poddubye and Kayevo .

History
Until 2005, the village was one of the settlements subordinate to the administration of the Kayovo village council .
Transport
The nearest train station is located in Borovenka. The highway Borovenka - Vistlenev Ostrov - Lyubytino passes through the village.
