Biography
Anna's first marriage was with the sevastorator Isaac Comnenus, nephew of the Byzantine emperor Manuel I Comnenus . From this marriage, the daughter of Theodore was born.
Shortly after Anna's father became emperor, in 1195 , Isaac Comnenus was sent to war with the Bulgarians, who revolted against the rule of Byzantium. Isaac was captured, became a hostage of the Bulgarian king and rival Bulgarian and Wallachian factions. After a while he died in captivity.
The second time Anna Angelina married Theodore Laskaris in the winter of 1199 . In 1204 Theodore became emperor of the Nicene empire , Anna became empress.

Anna and Theodore had three daughters and two sons:
- Irina Laskarina , married to: 1) the commander Andronik Palaeologom 2) John III , emperor of the Nicene Empire.
- Maria Laskarina , married to Belaya IV of Hungary .

- Nikolay Laskaris
- John Lascaris
